How the age calculation works
Enter the birth date and the date you want to measure age on. The target date must be on or after the birth date. Run the calculator to see full years, remaining months and remaining days, followed by the total number of days between the dates.
The calendar result is not a day count divided by 365. The calculator advances full years and months from the birth date, then counts the remaining days. When a date does not exist in the destination month, it uses that month's last day.
Leave Inclusive End off for the usual difference between dates. When it is on, the calculator advances the target date by one day before calculating both calendar age and total days. Day counts use UTC-midnight dates so daylight-saving clock changes do not add or remove a day.

For 2000-01-01 to 2026-01-01 with Inclusive End off, the result is 26 years, 0 months and 0 days, and 9,497 total days. Turning Inclusive End on produces 26 years, 0 months and 1 day, and 9,498 total days.
